CYPRESS, CA (WCMH/AP) – Speedo USA says it has ended its sponsorship of Ryan Lochte after the swimmer’s actions Rio.

According to Speedo as part of the company’s decision, they will donate $50,000 of Lochte’s fee to Save The Children, to help kids in Brazil.

“While we have enjoyed a winning relationship with Ryan for over a decade and he has been an important member of the Speedo team, we cannot condone behavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for,” the company says in the statement.

Lochte said he over-exaggerated what happened at a Rio de Janeiro gas station and acknowledged it was his “immature behavior” that got him and three teammates into a mess that consumed the final days of the Olympics.
