Pipe replacement closes Glebe Road in Dinwiddie County

Dinwiddie County, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Glebe Road (Route 646) to through traffic between Boydton Plank Road (Route 1) and Nash Road (Route 647) in Dinwiddie County on Monday, August 22 for a pipe replacement project.

VDOT says if the weather permits, the work is expected to be complete by the end of August.

Drivers should follow the posted detour routes:

  • Eastbound Glebe Rd. (Rt.646) – Take Nash Rd. (Rt. 647) north to Keelers Mill Rd. (Rt. 657) east to Boydton Plank Rd. (Rt. 1) south back to Glebe Rd. (Rt.646).
  • Westbound Glebe Rd. (Rt.646) – Take Boydton Plank Rd. (Rt. 1) north to Keelers Mill Rd. (Rt. 657) west to Nash Rd. (Rt. 647) south back to Glebe Rd. (Rt.646).
