Henrico County Police looking for suspect in armed robbery near airport

HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Police are looking for help identifying a suspect in a robbery that took place in Henrico County, near Richmond International Airport.

On August 22, 2016, at 12:15 p.m. a suspect entered a check cashing business in the 4700 block of Finlay Street in Henrico.

Once there, he showed a handgun and demanded money, which he was given.

The suspect was last seen leaving on foot with the money. It is not clear how much the suspect got away with.

Police are describing the suspect as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a brown sweatshirt, red bandana and sunglasses.

Henrico Police are asking assistance from the public in identifying this individual. Anyone with information on this crime are encouraged to call Henrico Police at 501-5000 or Richmond Metro Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.  Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637 (CRIMES), using the keyword “iTip” followed by their tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
