Richmond Police seek suspect in Hull Street FasMart robbery

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police need help finding a suspect in a robbery that took place a week ago at a convenience store on Hull Street.

Police describe the suspect as a black male between the ages of 23 and 28, around 5 foot eight inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.

During the robbery, the suspect wore a white shirt, dark green or camouflage pants and black shoes. He may also have been wearing a tan fishing hat.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on July 29 at the FasMart store at 5200 Hull Street.

The suspect entered the store and asked to use the store’s restroom when he was told it was not available.

The suspect then left the store, smoked a cigarette before re-entering. Shortly thereafter, the suspect requested a carton of cigarettes.

When the clerk turned away to reach for the cigarettes, the suspect told the clerk he had a gun in his bag and demanded money. The clerk gave him the money and the items he had carried to the counter.

The suspect then told the clerk to go into the back room and lock the door, which the clerk did.

The suspect then fled northbound on foot on Warwick Road.
