Redskins focused on running game vs. Jets

ARLINGTON, Va. (WRIC) — The Washington Redskins host their preseason home opener Friday night against the New York Jets at FedEx Field.

The two met in the regular season a year ago, the Jets winning the encounter 34-30 in the Meadowlands. The Redskins were limited to 34 rushing yards in the loss.

After Washington’s top three running backs on the depth chart couldn’t register one yard rushing in their 23-17 loss to Atlanta a week ago, head coach Jay Gruden is keeping his mind set on fixing the running game before Washington hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers September 12th on Monday night football.
