Botched robbery suspect who was shot now charged in Food Lion incident

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The man who was shot last week at a Henrico Food Lion is now being charged with a felony.

Nishawn Hill was shot while allegedly trying to rob a man coming out of a shoe store in the Oak Hill shopping center. The incident occurred right next to a Food Lion grocery store.

Unfortunately for Hill, the victim of the attempted robbery was able to wrangle the gun away from him before shooting him with it.

Hill is now charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm while committing a felony.
