Virginia man who climbed Trump Tower arraigned Wednesday

NEW YORK (WRIC) — Stephen Rogata, also known as “Steve from Virginia,” the man who climbed Trump Tower in New York City last week, was arraigned Wednesday from a bed at Bellevue Hospital.

Prosecutors say he had planned the climb and practiced it ahead of time.

He is charged with reckless endangerment, trespassing and is being held on $10,000 bond. His attorney says he is getting needed mental treatment.
