HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man is in jail after leading police on a chase by car and on foot on Saturday. According to Henrico County Police, officers responded to the 11,000 block of W. Broad Street for a larceny.

A suspect, who fled in a vehicle, was identified. Officers pursued the suspect and later apprehended him after he crashed his vehicle and fled on foot.

The chase left one neighbor shaken.

“As far as crime, you don’t’ see that around here,” said Katie Garrett. “So it’s definitely scary and my kids were right here when all this had happened and I can only think well what if that had happened on this side of the street and we were still in the back yard.”
