Crews battle heavy smoke and flames at Richmond home

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — No one was injured after a home caught fire in Richmond Wednesday night.

The fire occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the 2800 block of Scarsborough Drive. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of the home.

The blaze was marked under control at 7:46 p.m., according to Lt. Chris Armstrong with Richmond Fire.

Crews are still investigating a cause at this time.
