Adios, Carneros! VCU visits Spain this week

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The VCU Rams Men’s Basketball team leaves for a two-week European vacation on Friday.

It’s not all fun because there are games. The Rams will play four games in cities like Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona against professional competition. Head Coach Will Wade said the trip will double as a cultural experience and a great chance to give younger players some playing time against a different team. Those players would normally just play in practice.

Richmond native Torey Burston is minoring in Spanish and said he plans to be “like a tour guide” abroad.
