Police identify Friday night’s Nine Mile Road shooting victim

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police identified the Nine Mile Road shooting victim from Saturday morning as Michael A. Minor.

Minor was shot before 2 a.m Saturday morning at the Black Tie Social Club at 2825 Nine Mile Road. Police arrived shortly thereafter to find Minor, 44, of the 4900 block of Goddin Circle, unconscious and not breathing.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound.

Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation, but, at this time, they believe the motive for the shooting was robbery.
