Louisville woman arrives in court without pants

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A woman arrested on first offense shoplifting charges was brought before a judge in Louisville without any pants Friday.

When asked about the lack of clothing by the judge, the woman said that she had been locked up for three days and denied pants or feminine hygiene products.

The judge immediately took actions to try to remedy the issue and called authorities at the jail where the woman was held, during court.

The judge apologized to the woman for her treatment while in jail, while acknowledging that the crime she was originally brought in for was still her fault.

The woman was then given a one hundred dollar fine and sentenced to time served before being released.
