Redskins arrive in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Washington Redskins have arrived in Richmond for their fourth year of training camp in the River City.

Jay Gruden, entering his third year as head coach, addressed the media Wednesday. The Redskins are facing high expectations after winning the NFC East in 2015 and making the playoffs. The major storylines are the status of quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is playing on a short-term contract this season, and the arrival of free agent cornerback Josh Norman.

The Redskins will also battle the weather this season. Aside from high temperatures, storms are in the forecast. One storm Tuesday night damaged multiple goal posts at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center.

Camp officially opens to the public Thursday at 9:30 AM. The morning walk through will take place at 10:35 AM, and the afternoon practice will begin at 3:00 PM.
