Chesterfield Police hold a ceremony to honor Dallas Police

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield Police Department held a ceremony today to honor the Dallas officers who recently lost their lives in the line of duty.

The ceremony also sought to call upon the country to come together, heal and move forward.

It began at 8:30 a.m. at the historic courthouse at 10001 Iron Bridge Road that was built in 1917.

The ceremony included prayers from police department chaplains, remarks by Chesterfield County officials and a moment of silence. It was also open to the public.
