RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Townley Haas and his fellow U.S. Swimming teammates left for San Antonio, where they will stay for the next ten days before heading to Atlanta and then to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Haas qualified for the U.S. Swim Team by winning the 200M freestyle at U.S. Trials in Omaha. He is the first NOVA Aquatics swimmer to go to a summer Olympics.
He heads to Brazil followed by his family, his mom, dad and siblings making the trip as well.
