Richmond residents hold vigil to honor Dallas victims

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond community came together Sunday to support one another, and the victims of the Dallas shooting.

It was nearly a month ago that the community came together at Diversity Richmond to pray for Orlando. Now the community is praying for the whole country.

In addition to an event held at Diversity, local pastors and community leaders gathered to share their stories and hopes for the community.

These events also highlight how the community is working to bridge the gaps between law enforcement and citizens.

“Anybody in law enforcement, we want them to know that the church partners with them to make a difference and we are supporting them 100 percent. That is what we want to send a message for today,” Larry Miles, a local pastor said at the vigil.
