Krusteaz Blueberry Pancake mix recalled due to E. coli threat

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Krusteaz Blueberry Pancake Mix is being recalled from stores because it may be contaminated with E.coli 0121, according to a press release from Giant and Martins Grocery Stores.

Any Krusteaz Blueberry Pancake Mix, with best by dates of 3/3/2018-6/16/2018 should not be consumed.

Although most strains of E. coli are harmless, others can make you sick. E. coli O121 is a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea and dehydration. Seniors, the very young, and persons with compromised immune systems are the most susceptible to foodborne illness.

Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to GIANT/MARTIN’S for a full refund.
