Driver trapped in car after running off Turner Road in Chesterfield County


CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Emergency crews rescued a driver early Monday morning after police say the car ran off Turner Road into the woods.

Chesterfield County Police said around 3:20 a.m., crews responded to a call of a tree down on the road.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle had run off the road and into the woods on Turner Road between Elkhart Road and Hull Street Road.

Police said the driver was seriously hurt and was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes on Turner Road are now open.
