Police investigating after woman shot while driving in Richmond’s southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police are investigating after a woman was shot while she driving in Richmond’s southside Thursday.

Police say they responded to reports of shots fired near Harwood Street at roughly 2:45 p.m. They found a woman who had been shot while driving and ended up sideswiping a parked vehicle before stopping in the 1500 block of Harwood Street. She was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are actively investigating and have not released any suspect description at this time.
