RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A man incarcerated in the Richmond City jail was arrested and charged Friday with possession of marijuana and of another controlled substance.
38-year-old Anthony Maurice Robinson, Jr. was arrested after deputies from the Richmond Sheriff’s office performed a tier shakedown and discovered the marijuana and another substance.
At this point, while deputies have charged Robinson with possession of a schedule I/II controlled substance, it’s still not clear what the substance is. It has been sent to the state lab for analysis.
Robinson is officially being charged with possession of a schedule I/II controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance by a prisoner, felony possession of marijuana by a prisoner and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
He was previously convicted of felony distribution of a narcotic on May 24 of this year.
