Mexican ‘The Voice’ singer shot and killed

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Chicago singer who once appeared on “La Voz,” the Mexican version of the American show “The Voice,” has been shot and killed.

Police say the 45-year-old Alejandro “Jano” Fuentes died yesterday of gunshot wounds.

He was shot in the head three times in an ambush, while celebrating his birthday.

Police say they have no suspects in the attack.

This comes about a week after the shooting death of U.S. “The Voice” contestant Christina Grimmie.
