One man bought a generator to ‘keep his wife alive’

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — When the power goes out, many people complain about the discomfort and inconvenience of being without air conditioning and electronic forms of entertainment.

For some, though, not having power is a life-threatening problem.

8News spoke to one man who purchased a generator today in an effort to ensure that his wife would stay alive.

Tommy Stefi described how he did what he had to take care of his wife.

“I want to get some rest. But see, I can’t rest because my wife has COPD [Chronic Obsessive Pulmonary Disorder] and I have to tend to her,” Stefi said.

Stefi went on to say that his wife is his best friend and that that he’d do anything for the people he loves.
