Mary Scott Preschool Learning Center damaged by fallen tree

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News reporter Roxie Bustamante reported Friday morning that a tree had fallen onto and through the roof at Mary Scott Preschool Learning Center. The tree fell as a result of the severe storms that occurred Thursday night.

According to Bustamante’s report, the tree damaged two classrooms and led to flooding and water damage.

The school, along with all the others in Richmond City and Henrico County is currently closed due to power outages.

While crews are currently working to remove the tree and repair the damage, it is still unclear when the repairs will be complete.
