Richmond teens to compete in International Children’s Games

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Seven student-athletes from the Richmond area are headed to Taiwan this July to compete in the International Children’s Games.

It is an international program to promote peace throughout the world by bringing city leaders, young athletes, and coaches together for a cultural exchange and youth Olympics.

Only five U.S. cities are invited to the games which is sanctioned by the International Olympic Committee.

Team Chesterfield is a newly formed volleyball team that is now working to raise money for the trip to New Taipei City in July.

On Wednesday, June 15, the area Sweet Frog shops will donate 25 percent of sales to Team Chesterfield. Just let them know you’re supporting the team.

Team Chesterfield will be at the Carytown Sweet Frog at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, for a party. Feel free to stop by and say hello.
