RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The annual Bacon Festival Sunday drew a big crowd to the 17th Street Farmers Market.
Restaurants from all over the River City participated in the event, offering a number of bacon theme creations.
Guests were able to try bacon fried oysters, bacon lattes, and bacon bourbon gelato just to name a few.
Marcia Parham, an attendee, said she only tasted one thing until she came across something interesting.
“The only thing we’ve tried so far is bacon wrapped mozzarella and that was very good,” Parham said. “And then we ran into the bacon funnel cakes.”
Michael Bolding, bacon lover, says he was a really good time.
“I love it, Bolding exclaimed. “It’s a lot of vendors. It’s a lot of choices. Everything has bacon on it.”
