Flying Sky Rover toy being recalled

RICHMOND, Va. (AP/WRIC) — Children’s flying toys are being recalled due to their USB charging cords overheating, leading to fires and burn risks.

This recall is for yellow USB charging cords that were sold with Aero Spin and Aero Cruz Sky Rover remote-controlled flying toys. The Toy is shaped like a ball with two blades on tops, wings on the side and it measures about 3 ½ inches tall by 5 inches wide.

The toy is operated by a remote control. It is sold in several colors, including red, orange and citron green.

Only yellow USB charging cords are included in this recall. The flying toy, which cost between $11 and $15, were sold at Walmart and other stores nationwide, and online at Amazon.com from January 2015 through January 2016.

So far, 35 reports of charging cords overheating have occurred. No injuries have been reported.

According to reports, bout 325,000 of this product have been sold and need to be recalled.
