Redskins release 2016 training camp schedule

ASHBURN, Va. (WRIC) — The Washington Redskins released their 2016 training camp schedule for when they arrive in Richmond in Late July.

Opening Day is scheduled for Thursday, July 28th at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. Training camp will run through Thursday, August 14th.

This will mark the fourth consecutive summer the Redskins have held training camp in Richmond.

There will be 22 public on-field sessions available to fans and admission is free. Fan Appreciation day is Saturday, August 13th.

The Redskins will have two off days at training camp before the team’s first preseason games against the Falcons in Atlanta on Thursday, August 11th: Sunday, July 31st and Saturday, August 6th.

The team won’t be having joint practices with another NFL team as of yet. In the previous two seasons, the Redskins have held joint practices with the New England Patriots in 2014 and the Houston Texans in 2015.
