HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — The 22-year-old Glen Allen man charged with killing his parents on Easter Sunday is due in court next June.

William Brissette has been indicted on two counts of capital murder.

Henrico Police say Brissette called 9-1-1 back in March saying someone broke into his family’s home and killed his mother and father.

But investigators believe Roy is the one who pulled the trigger and shot the couple.

Investigators also say there is a motive, but they have not yet released what it is.

Henry and Martha Brissette had been married for thirty-five years.

Neighbors tell 8News the couple had lived in their home on Forge Road for at least half of that time.

Neighbors also say the Brissettes were quiet but friendly and never had any trouble with the 59-year-old husband and 56-year-old wife .

Their son, however, had a history.

Court records show Roy faced drug and stalking charges back in 2013, but nothing that suggested he might be capable of killing his own flesh and blood.

Those same court documents also show that at one point, Roy was being treated by Henrico County Mental Health Services.

Roy himself created a crowdfunding page in January in an effort to raise $25,000 so he could get stem cell treatment to “rebuild his brain.”
