RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — What started as a concern has become an epidemic.
Concerns over the Zika virus are growing worldwide. Olympic fans, for one, are especially concerned with how this virus could affect the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Many athletes have also been outspoken about a location change, although the World Health Organization recently voted against moving or postponing the 2016 games.
Locally, the number of Zika cases in Virginia has climbed from 13 to 18 in just one month.
