‘Everything is all new to me:’ Wrongfully convicted man adjusting to life after prison

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WRIC) — Think about spending half of your life behind concrete walls and barb wire, knowing you’re innocent.

Keith Harward spent 33 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit; he was released just¬†last month.

“They weren’t looking for the truth, they were looking for a conviction,” Harward told 8News Reporter Jonathan, who went to visit Harward in his hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina where he is still adjusting to life outside of prison. “Yea, 60-year-old newborn baby, because everything is all new to me.”
