Restaurants to post calorie counts in May 2017

(WRIC) — This time next year, many American restaurants will have to post calorie counts on their menus.

The rule is part of the Affordable Care Act, but regulators extended the deadline to May 2017. The rule only applies to larger chains of twenty or more locations and some vending machines.

Many chains already comply with the rule.
