Authorities in Hanover County nab serial burglar

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Hanover County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a Richmond man in connection to multiple residential burglaries in Mechanicsville.

20-year-old Andrew E. Labons was arrested Monday and charged with four counts of breaking and entering, three counts of grand larceny and one count of petit larceny.

All of the burglaries occurred during a two-week span in April. Two of them occurred in the 5200 block of Glenharbor Lane. The third occurred in the 5200 block of Keitts Corner Road and the fourth in the 7300 block of Cabell Place.

Investigators are still working to recover all stolen property.

“I am exceptionally proud of our investigators,” said Hanover County Sheriff Colonel David R. Hines. “Their dedication to the citizens of Hanover County continues to be exemplary. More importantly, I’m pleased that we are able to give reassurance to the victims and residents who have been affected by these crimes.”
