Visitation today for young man killed in Hanover County crash, Elliot Hinton

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Family and friends will pay their respects to today to one of the young men killed in a crash on Cold Harbor Road.

22-year-old Elliot Hinton, a Lee-Davis alum, was killed Saturday, April 23, in a tragic accident, along with Lee-Davis senior and football player Dylan Ballard, 17. Four others, including the driver, were seriously injured.

Hinton’s birthday was on Thursday, April 28. He would have been 23-years-old.

Elliot’s friends called him ‘Easy E,’ remembering his carefree attitude.

“He always wanted to smile and laugh,” said friend Rachel Waldron. “It’s who he was; he would never have a sad moment. He never wanted to be sad.”

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Hinton, which will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 9 at Bliley’s Funeral Home, located at 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond.

Funeral services take place on Tuesday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, located at 7356 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville. A private, family-only interment will follow.
