U.S. Marshals capture second suspect in Mosby Court shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Another arrest has been made in connection with the shooting that occurred April 16, 2016, in the Mosby Court area.

Monday, the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 18-year-old Zyejuan M. Redd,  of the 1500 block of Jennie Scher Road.

Richmond Police arrested the other suspect, 20-year-old, Ki’yelle A. Whitaker, of the 1700 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike, last month.

Both men were charged with attempted murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

On April 16, officers responded to a call in the 1900 block of Accommodation Street.  When they arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he was later released after being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
