Chesterfield Burger King robbed; possibly related to at least 3 other incidents

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob the Burger King at 20867 Woodpecker Road before robbing the King’s FastMart at the same address minutes later.

The incident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning. No one was injured.

Police say the suspect entered the Burger King, displayed a firearm and demanded money from an employee. The employee fled the business, and the suspect left without receiving any money.

The suspect then entered the King’s FastMart – located in the same building as the Burger King – displayed a weapon and demanded money from the register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot toward University Apartments.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, possibly 5-foot-8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing black jeans, a hoodie, gray work gloves and a ski mask.

Detectives are working to determine whether this incident is related three others in the area: Wednesday’s robbery at the Dollar General at 20829 Woodpecker Road, the April 24 robbery at the Food Lion at 20821 Woodpecker Road and the April 24 attempted robbery at the same Burger King.
