RICHMOND Va (WRIC) — Richmond is getting its very own weekend dedicated to brunch, and it’s not just a chance to try out some new dishes. It’s also benefitting the community.
On May 14 and 15, nearly two dozen local restaurants will participate in Richmond Brunch Weekend.
Twenty-three restaurants will be offering special brunch menus with a portion of proceeds being returned to VCU Massey Cancer Center.
The special brunch menus will include dishes for $10 or less. Two dollars from each will go to the cancer center.
Richmond Brunch Weekend will also feature “Massey Mimosas.”
“It’s the restaurant’s special take on a mimosa, and proceeds from that also go back to Massey,” said Williams.
Many restaurants have also agreed to give 10% of proceeds during Richmond Brunch Weekend from items sold NOT on the special brunch menu.
“You’re also supporting local restaurants, which is also fun,” said Woznicki. “We’re partnering with 23 restaurants, so you probably haven’t eaten at all 23, so it’s time to try something new.”
