Police: No injuries after shots fired during home invasion in Henrico County

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after shots were fired during a home invasion in Richmond’s west end Thursday night.

Henrico Police tell 8News they responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the 7700 block of Patterson Avenue at around 8 p.m.

Police say the caller advised that an unknown tall, skinny black male dressed in all dark clothing and armed with a handgun entered his home. The victim retrieved his own handgun and an exchange of gunfire took place. The suspect then fled the scene.

There were no injuries during this incident.

The suspect remains at large and authorities are still investigating.
