CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield Berry Farm and Market is opening on April 28 for people to pick their own strawberries.
The farm posted on Facebook Monday they have fields full of maturing plants, and this year’s harvest looks “very promising and delicious.” Visitors to the farm can also take hayrides to and from the fields, visit the Fun Zone, take a Barrel Train Ride or head to the Honey Bee Learning Center. They also have a new menu in the kitchen.
You may remember last month, the farm filed for bankruptcy protection and took actions to streamline their operations. Owners said they’d had a few years of less than desired business. They said then that they planned to open in April and run their business as normal.
