Motorcyclist injured in wreck on Cary St. dies

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The motorcyclist who was injured after colliding with another vehicle in Richmond’s Fan District Tuesday night has died.

Police tell 8News that a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Cary Street shortly after 7 p.m. when it collided with a pickup truck that was traveling northbound on Addison Street. The motorcyclist was transported to VCU Medical Center with injuries that were described as life-threatening. There were two occupants in the pickup who both suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Richmond Police tell 8News that the motorcyclist, who’s been identified as 38-year-old Nicholas P. Dillon of the 3100 block of West Cary St, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital Wednesday morning.

No charges are expected to be filed, according to police.
