Deep Run’s Kassab resigns after six seasons

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Deep Run High School is looking for a new head basketball coach after Curt Kassab resigned after a successful six-year run.

Kassab led the Wildcats to the state quarterfinal in 2016.

Before coaching at Deep Run, Kassab was an assistant on Beth Cunningham’s staff at VCU. Before VCU, Kassab coached the girls’ team at Atlee High School guiding the Raiders to a perfect season and a AAA state championship in 2003.

News of Kassab’s resignation was first reported by Eric Kolenich at the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
