Man stabbed during attempted robbery in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a stabbing in Henrico on Monday.

Authorities say officers were flagged down by a citizen in the 1400 block of Horsepen Road to report a robbery.

The victim told police that he was walking in the 10100 block of Castile Court when he was approached by three black males. One of the males demanded money and the victim said he refused. The victim stated he was struck in the stomach and the three males fled. The victim then realized he had been stabbed.

The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center.

The first suspect is described by police as a black male, between 18 and 25-years-old, wearing black shorts and no shirt with a tattoo on his chest and braided hair. Police said the second suspect is a black male, 18 to 25-years-old, with a beard and a Boston baseball cap. The third suspect is a black male, also 18 to 25-years-old, wearing a black jacket, according to police.
