#HashtagLunchbagRichmond movement feeds and inspires

lunch 3

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Have you heard of the #HashtagLunchbag movement? KJ Cook and Jazmin Knight from #HashtagLunchbagRichmond were in studio Saturday morning to talk with about how they’re feeding and inspiring people in RVA.

Every third Saturday, a group of volunteers gets together to pack up lunches to hand them out to people in need. Before they do that, they write inspirational messages to include with the meals.

The group describes itself as a “humanity service movement that presents the opportunity to feed local communities, feel the benefits of giving & share on social media to inspire all.”lunch 1

They will be at 830 W. Grace St. from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday.

If you’ve like to help with the movement, they’re looking for the following donations:

  • Turkey
  • Bread
  • Fruit
  • Water
  • Juice
  • Little Debbie snacks
