Adopt a Furry Friend: Hawkeye

UPDATE: Hawkeye found his forever home.  He was adopted on Saturday after the Richmond SPCA’s Dog Jog and 5K.

Original story below.

RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) –Hawkeye loves people, and enjoyed the attention during his visit to the 8News studio on Friday.  The 4-year-old is looking for a family to welcome him into their home and show him kindness.

Tabitha Treloar with the Richmond SPCA says Hawkeye likely hasn’t had any training.  He came to the SPCA in March after being surrendered by a family in Brunswick County.  When he arrived, he was underweight and had been living outside.  When he arrived, he was unsure of himself and his new surroundings, but he’s building confidence every day and learning to trust people.

Hawkeye is looking for a forever home with a family who will be patient with him as he learns and grows.

If you’d like to meet Hawkeye, set up a visit to the Richmond SPCA.  You can support the SPCA this weekend at The 14th Annual Dog Jog and 5k Run.
