RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — No one was injured after a school bus carrying pre-school students was involved in an accident at the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Bells Road in Richmond.
The crash occurred at roughly 2 p.m. According to Richmond police, initial reports indice the RPS bus driver disregarded a red light while traveling eastbound on Bells Road and collided with a Honda Accord that was traveling northbound on Jeff Davis Highway. The Honda then collided with a Mitsubishi, which was also traveling northbound on Jeff Davis.
Police estimate that a dozen students were onboard the bus at the time of the accident. None of them, nor any of the drivers involved, were injured.
Charges are pending, according to police.
