VCU Police nab Peeping Tom suspect

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A man has been charged with seven counts of peeping in connection to a string of recent Peeping Tom incidents that were reported in Richmond’s Fan District.

Kerry L. Fields, 43, of North Chesterfield was arrested Thursday by VCU police.

Earlier this week, VCU Police released photos of a male wanted in connection to several incidents that occurred on March 10 and March 17 in the lower Fan District.

Authorities say tips poured in after the department and local media outlets shared the photos on social media, which helped officials identify Fields. All seven charges stem from Peeping Tom incidents reported by VCU students living off campus. Detectives were able to connect him to five additional incidents at the same apartment building.

“VCU Police thanks the public and the media for sharing photos of the suspect and for submitting tips,” the department said in a release. “We also thank the Chesterfield County Police Department for assisting with the apprehension of Fields at his home. #DontTryUs.”
