Meanwhile, a man is recovering in the hospital after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in Richmond’s southside Thursday night.
The victim was found by police near the intersection of Franklin and Belvidere Streets, close to VCU’s Monroe Park campus. He was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following a preliminary investigation, police determined the victim was shot on Jefferson Davis Highway and then transported to Monroe Park Towers apartment complex by a Good Samaritan who called 9-1-1.
