Police: Delivery driver had car shot while on the job in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a delivery driver reported that he was shot at in Richmond.

Police tell 8News that the driver reported a day after the incident that four unknown males approached him after he had made a delivery as he was getting into his car.

The incident occurred 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in the 3900 block of Hanover Avenue.

According to police, the suspects brandished a handgun, but the driver got in his vehicle and drove away. Later, the driver found what appeared to be a bullet hole in the side of his car.

There were no injuries.

Detectives are investigating and have very strong leads in the case.
