LANHAM, Md. (AP) – Officials say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a MARC train in Maryland.
8News affiliate WJLA-TV reports that a spokesman with the Prince George’s County Fire Department said the incident occurred early Monday on the Amtrak/MARC tracks near Annapolis Road and Whitfield Chapel Road in Lanham.
Limited Amtrak service has resumed between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore after previously being suspended. Trains are moving at slower speeds and passengers traveling through the area should expect delays.
