4 suspects in custody after police pursuit ends in crash

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Four suspects are in custody Monday morning after a vehicle was stolen from a Chesterfield car dealership, which led to a police pursuit and crash overnight.

Authorities say it all started after they responded to an alarm call from VA Cars off of Midlothian Turnpike. When officers arrived, they saw four suspects fleeing the scene in a stolen car. The suspects led police on a chase through Chesterfield County into Richmond. The suspects then crashed the vehicle near Arcadia Street before they began running on foot.

All four suspects were taken into custody. The owner of VA Cars spoke to 8News off camera and said all the suspects are juveniles. Their identities have not yet been released.

The owner also said that this was the second time in 48 hours that the same incident happened. He believes the same four suspects are responsible.

The owner added that they’re possibly looking at thousands of dollars in damages.
