HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Hundreds of students at Deep Run High School danced the night away on Saturday. After movin’ and groovin’ for over 24 hours, they had raised more than $223,000 this year.
Proceeds from the dance marathon go to over a dozen different local non-profit charities. Over the last ten years, they’ve raised more than $1.5 million.
Students like Brandon Farbstien are excited about the difference they are able to make, “Every tear, every sweat drop, and every muscle ache is so worth it for us as dancers to see exactly what we’re doing to make an impact on the community. There’s nothing like this.”
